The Outdoors

The patio

This mosaic executed brick patterned extends around the pool, the whirlpool, and the sauna/ shower building. It is a large area with easy recliners for sun tanning, seating for breakfast, coffee hour and tea time or just for leisure.

The whirlpool

The whirlpool is contained in a large octagon-like structure, with a very high roof. This way the vista is not hampered with, but protection from sun, wind and rain is secured. Ozone is used to keep the water pure and fresh. We use salt water in our system, which relieves us from the use of chemicals.

The pool

Like the whirlpool we use salt water in our system. The Roman steps provide an easy entrance into the pool. At the edge a sculpture of a fish, spewing water.

The sauna and showers

This octagon-like building is equipped with two heat generators, and offers low and high seating areas. Both the sauna and shower areas are serviced by day light and incandescent lighting at night. Only natural materials are used, such as clear cedar, and stone work.

The gardens

The manor is surrounded with a variety of gardens, each with their own theme. All gardens are secluded. Seating is ample. A favourite place to spend a hot afternoon is the shade garden. At night one likes to spend time at the gardens surrounding the koi pond, while feeding the fish. Midday one usually relaxes at the gardens surrounding the patios. Then there is always access to the organic garden, and the orchard.

The trails

These wind across the north side of the property. A magnificent piece of natural walkways lead you through a valley and up to some nice secluded seating areas. It will take from 30 to 40 minutes to walk all trails.

The animals

All animals may be petted. They are friendly, but sometimes a bit shy. The chickens always like to be fed, as do the sheep, and the donkey`s.  The llama, does not like to be fed anything other than hay. Koi like to eat when the weather warms, they are however dormant in winter
